October Release Notes

We started Q4 eating a lot of goulash and brainstorming new product concepts at our company fall retreat in Budapest, Hungary. Being a 100% remote company, we value working (and hacking) together in person. Now that we are back to our regularly scheduled programming, we want to share what we worked on in October for you.

What’s New?

Journey Metrics (Beta)

The Journey Metrics dashboard paints a picture of how well your campaign is performing. You can see how many people you’re reaching, how many of those are making it through your entire campaign, how many people existed early, and how many people converted.

Note: Journey Metrics are based on the total number of journeys through the campaign, rather than based on the total number of messages sent. Learn more about Journey Metrics here.

While Journey Metrics is in beta, we encourage feedback. Please let us know what is working and what can be improved by emailing our Product Team at product@customer.io.

Twilio Messaging Copilot

We now support Twilio’s Messaging Copilot within our native integration. Copilot’s phone number intelligence allows you to send messages using a local phone number or send messages from multiple numbers for high-volume traffic campaigns. In addition, Copilot offers content intelligence that will automatically format every message without writing custom code.

To enable this setting, go to Workspace Settings, select “Twilio SMS”, then click “Sync from Twilio” button.

Smaller Improvements

  • We introduced a new account setting that two-factor authentication (2FA) to be required for all team members. If you haven’t already done so, please take a few minutes and set up 2FA for an additional layer of security to your account.
  • We added a yellow dot indicator to inform you when you have drafts saved.
  • Fixed a bug where all deliveries were included in CSV exports even when filters had been applied.
  • New customers are now required to add and verify their domains before sending. This helps us ensure better deliverability for all accounts.
