More Flexibility in Segments

Our segmentation engine is central to enabling you to send your campaigns to the right people, so we’ve been working to improve the segment creation process.

We wanted to make it easier to build segments, from the simplest grouping to more complex combinations of conditions.

We’ve combined the textual description and form for choosing conditions so that it’s clearer to see what each condition is doing:

Refine Conditions

As before, you can choose from 4 types of conditions — attribute, email, event, or page — to create your segments. Some conditions also have extra settings, which you’ll find by clicking “Refine”. For example:

Flexible Combinations of Conditions

You can also group your conditions together however you want. Choose between requiring ALL of the conditions or ANY of them. You can even nest groups inside groups, if that’s what you need!

Multiple event attribute filters

You can also apply multiple filters on event attributes. For example, if you want your segment to be customers who made a purchase of greater than $10, without having used a coupon code, you can do that:
