December Release Notes
December brings snow (for many), fun traditions, and the inevitable consumption of too many cookies. Keep reading to find out what we have been working on for you this month.
We know it’s a pain to recreate complex segment logic every time you want to target a different audience. That’s why we now allow you to duplicate Data-driven Segments in Customer.io.
Save time and open an existing segment, click ‘Options’ in the top right corner, and select ‘Duplicate Segment’. Once you do this, you will automatically land on the ‘COPY’ of your new segment editing page.
Limit Sending Rate
You can now specify the maximum send rate for your newsletters to control your send volume. To do this, navigate to the first step of your broadcast builder, select “Limit send rate”, then define the maximum number of messages sent per minute, hour, or day. For example, you can set the maximum sending rate to 100k messages per hour.
Add and Remove People from Manual Segments in Workflows
You can now control manual segment memberships in your campaign workflow. For example, you can add or remove people from an ad audience directly from a workflow. Additionally, this feature will allow you to identify and target people in the most unique scenarios (think people who are stuck in a branch or reached a certain point in a workflow).
View Workflow Metrics by Date Range
In your campaign visual workflow builder, you can now filter by date ranges for workflow metrics. From the “Metrics” tab within the workflow builder, simply toggle the metrics you’d like to view and select the time period range.
Weekly Campaign Subscription
Do you have a handful of campaigns you monitor closely? Our new weekly summary report is just what you need to keep an eye on performance. Find out how many people started the campaign, converted, opened, or unsubscribed right in your email inbox.
Subscribing is easy. Click the ‘Follow’ button in the top right corner on any Campaign page to start receiving your campaign summary. Once you’re following a Campaign, you will automatically receive an updated summary report every Friday.
- You can now sync segments to multiple ad networks for Facebook and Google Ads within Customer.io.
- We expanded the Campaign work area to fullscreen to give you more room to edit.
- Fixed a bug that was preventing you from using liquid to create dynamic ‘From’ addresses in your emails.
- Fixed a bug that now allows you to bulk delete your draft messages.
What’s On The Way?
Starting January 1st, we began adding sales tax to new invoices for US subscribers based in MA, MN, OH, PA, SC, TN, TX, and WA.
We have been migrating customers to our new delivery platform. Don’t panic! You do not need to do anything until we reach out to you. The transition will be gradual and Customer.io will guide you through every step of the way.
